Comey — The Great Pumpkin

Comey’s timeline of communicating to Congress just prior to our Presidential election is certainly curious: A last minute FBI find, a frantic letter that there is much work to be done, a confused electorate, pumpkin carving, and then “Never Mind”…What????

October 28, 2016 — The Weiner Emails

Comey sends letter to Congress mentioning a new batch of emails found on Anthony Weiner’s computer.

Some key quotes from the article above:

The FBI’s investigative team briefed Comey Thursday about the new emails and is now assessing, Comey wrote, “whether or not this material may be significant.” In his letter, the FBI director also warned the committee chairs, “I cannot predict how long it will take us to complete this additional work.” Law enforcement sources told CBS News’ Jeff Pegues that the sheer volume of emails and the process of examining them will take days. Investigators are looking into whether they contain classified information

Even Hillary told Comey to hurry up!

In a hastily arranged press conference Friday night, Clinton said it was “imperative” for the FBI to “explain this issue … without delay.”

Clinton said she is “confident” the conclusion reached in July about her emails will not change and downplayed its potential effect on the election.

CBS Sources claimed that there were thousands of emails…Sounds like a lot of work with the electorate in waiting!

Law enforcement sources told CBS News’ Jeff Pegues that the sheer volume of emails and the process of examining them will take days. Investigators are looking into whether they contain classified information.

So obviously, Comey knew that this late breaking data over the final days of the election was importnant. According to CBS sources, the sheer volume of emails and the process of examining them would “take days”.

So what does Comey do while the entire Country is waiting?

October 30, 2016 — Work Life Balance and Family Fun!!!

According to Jack Posobiec 🇺🇸 Comey thought that this was a good time for some work family balance.

So the entire election is waiting on Comey’s follow up regarding the Hillary emails, possibly the missing Hillary emails, found on Weiner’s computer…and Comey takes a family day and enjoys his weekend?

Maybe this was a good time for pumpkin carving and having fun. After all, according to Comey’s testimony to the senate Judiciary Comittee there were only “hundreds of thousands of emails” to review.

November 6, 2016 — Never Mind, Nothing to See Here, Go on with the Election

Exactly oner week later, pumpkin time was over, and it was time for Comey to work on Sunday. This was the last Sunday of the Presidential Election cycle, apparently Comey didn’t practice his of a strict work/life balance, and sent a letter to Congress on his family day.

According to the article above, Comey set the record straight on November 6, 2016:

“Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July,” Comey wrote in the new letter to congressional committee chairmen.

Here is a link to the Letter: According to the letter, it was a lot of work in a short time:

I am very grateful to the professionals at the FBI for doing an extraordinary amount of high-quality work in a short period of time.

So I guess that the other folks at the FBI weren’t carving pumpkins too?

More key quotes from the CNN article above:

Trump wasn’t happy:

“You can’t review 650,000 new emails in eight days. You can’t do it, folks,” Trump said, adding, “Hillary Clinton is guilty. She knows it, the FBI knows it, the people know it, and now it’s up to the American people to deliver justice at the ballot box on November 8.”

Imagine if Trump had known about the family fun day on October 30th? Pumpkins above the investigation?

Even the top Democrat on the committee Diane Feinstein wasn’t happy:

Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, blasted Comey’s handling of the review.

“Today’s letter makes Director Comey’s actions nine days ago even more troubling,” Feinstein said in a statement. “There’s no doubt that it created a false impression about the nature of the agency’s inquiry.”

She added: “The Justice Department needs to take a look at its procedures to prevent similar actions that could influence future elections.”

But somehow, Hillary’s staff was “always confident” that there was no need to worry about the October 28 announcement. Maybe they were carving pumpkins too?

Is Comey the Great Pumpkin?
